Christopher Mueller is a performer and photographer based out of Washington, DC. Christopher is a member of Actor's Equity Association.

Christopher attended Wakefield High School in Arlington, VA, where he was invited to work with Signature Theatre’s Director of Education, Marcia Gardner, and Helen-Hayes award winning playwright Norman Allen in a world-premiere production of In The Lion’s Den as a part of Signature’s annual Signature in the Schools program.  After being admitted to the Catholic University of America’s Benjamin T. Rome School of Music with a concentration in Musical Theatre, Christopher was awarded Signature Theatre’s prestigious Richard Gomersall Scholarship.

While studying at the Catholic University of America, Christopher had the opportunity to perform at The Kennedy Center, The White House, and abroad at the Prague Spring Music Festival.  At the Prague Spring Music Festival, Christopher appeared in the chorus of The Defiant Requiem, Conductor Murray Sidlin's adaptation of Guiseppi Verdi's Messa da Requiem. A feature-length documentary on this concert was released in the summer of 2012.

Additionally, Christopher studied classical and contemporary acting at the London Dramatic Academy, where he had the opportunity to study with Richard Ryan, Richard Digby Day, and Tess Dignan, as well as other teachers from RADA and The Central School

Soon after graduation, Christopher immersed himself in the thriving professional theatre community in Washington, DC.  Christopher has had the opportunity to work at The Kennedy Center, Imagination Stage, The Keegan Theatre, Adventure Theatre, and at the TONY Award-winning Signature Theatre, Arena Stage, and Shakespeare Theatre Company.  Christopher was a part of seven world premiere productions in Washington, DC, and was a member of the cast of RENT at The Keegan Theatre, which won the Helen Hayes Award in 2010 for Outstanding Ensemble. In 2012, Christopher made his New York City debut, having the privilege of performing in a concert production of Chess to benefit the Actors' Fund.

Christopher used his time at the University to apply his photographic skills to the theatre, emphasizing pre-production, production, and headshot photography.  Since establishing a professional career, Christopher’s work has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Playbill.com, and numerous other publications, as well as on billboards, buses, and a myriad of print and online advertisements.  Christopher worked as lead photographer for Design Army’s season art design for Signature Theatre’s 2011-2012 season.  In 2013, Christopher's photography was featured as part of the set design for Signature Theatre's acclaimed production of Company.  Since then, Christopher's photography has been featured in season art for Signature Theatre, Olney Theatre Center, and Ford's Theatre.

Signature Theatre’s Artistic Director, Eric Schaeffer, chose one of Christopher’s photographs for the cover of his book, My Signature Story. Broadway veteran Ed Dixon selected one of Christopher’s photographs as the final photograph in the insert section of his book, Secrets of a Life on Stage… and Off

Christopher has had the privilege of photographing for various events, stage productions, pre-production, and portraits, the actors Bernadette Peters, Florence Stella Lacey, Jeremey Kushnier, Jill Paice, Euan Morton, Marc Kudish, Diane Sutherland, Brian Sutherland, Tony Yazbek, and Matthew Scott, directors Joe Calarco and Matthew Gardiner, playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo, and composers Stephen Sondheim, Matt Conner, and Adam Gwon, as well as the aforementioned Eric Schaeffer and Ed Dixon.
